The Glenvar MakerSpace had been getting bunches of donations. We have been trying to find a way we could thank our community for their support.

Ms. Bush’s class was looking for a MakerSpace project that would help students understand the season of giving.  We decided to put the two ideas together.

Mrs. Bush’s class made things to donate to various organizations in our local community to show their appreciation for all the donations we have received.  Check out some of their hard work.

Students used donated stamps, wallpaper samples, and paint to create some pretty awesome cards. They used recycled materials and craft supplies to make ornaments too.  The cards and ornaments were given to the folks at Friendship Manor.

Students used their measurement skills to cook dog treats for Angels of Assissi.

Students fleece and stuffing to make pillows for the Rescue Mission.

They students also decorated Christmas Trees for Meals on Wheels.

The class attached tags and QR Codes to each item they created.  The QR Code linked to a special message.

I’m so proud of all the hard work the students put into this project!  Look at all the things they donated to good causes throughout our community!

We are already scheming on how to expand this project next year!
